Incorporated in 2017 under the Companies Act 2011 and commencing operations in 2020 from Maseru, Platinum Credit Ltd is a dedicated 100% Basotho-owned, Tier 2 licensed microfinance and registered credit provider with the Central Bank of Lesotho. We serve individuals in the public and private sectors, as well as micro, small and medium businesses — empowering clients to start or grow businesses, manage household cash flow, invest in education, build assets, and weather financial shocks.

    Incorporated — registered under the Companies Act 2011.

    Licensed & established — officially licensed as a microfinance institution, committed to responsible, accessible credit.

    Tier 2 elevation — elevated to Tier 2 status in just one year, reflecting rapid growth, operational soundness, and regulatory adherence.

  • 2025

    Operations resumed — following the settlement of a protracted legal matter, PCL resumed full operations, stronger and recommitted to Basotho.
